Bob Baker
A singing movie cowboy, Leland “Tumble” Weed performed at WLS in Chicago before going to Hollywood to begin a career in Western movies. Most of his songs for his Universal series were written by IWMA Hall of Famer Fleming Allan. The Baker-Allan combination produced a number of cowboy songs. Bob’s career at Universal wrapped p with 31 films in all, several co-starring with Johnny Mack Brown.
